Fringe regions Named regions of the galactic rim that are not segmenta: the wild spaces at and beyond the edge of Imperial reach.
Eastern Fringe
The far eastern edge of the galaxy, the outermost reach of Ultima Segmentum. Canonically the Astronomican 'does not cover much of the eastern part of the Galaxy on the Eastern Fringe', which is exactly where our Astronomican ring falls short of the disk.
Ghoul Stars
A dead, haunted region on the galactic north-eastern fringe, within the outer reach of Ultima Segmentum - burnt-out suns and the necron tombs of the Charnel Stars.
Halo Stars
A sparse scatter of stars beyond the galactic rim off the north-western edge of Segmentum Obscurus - 'the stars that lie outside the galaxy itself', the far side of the Eye of Terror from Terra and effectively beyond the Astronomican.
Veiled Region
An area of Segmentum Pacificus toward the south-western rim, shrouded and poorly charted - held apart from the rest of Imperial space by the warp storms along its approaches.
Records in no segmentum Vessels under way and places with no real-space position. They belong to no segmentum page, so they live here.
