imperium
Forge world of the Adeptus Mechanicus, its menial population worked to the bone
A forge world where the machines never stop and the work never ends: its human population toils in the mines and factoria making weapons for the rest of Humanity, while the Tech-Priests who rule it live in palatial comfort. A Genestealer Cult, the Congregation of the Divine Union, is hidden among its workers, and the radical Genetor Gammat Triskellian means to use it against Morod's masters. What becomes of the world is kept off this record because it would spoil the book.
Position
Map frame: 701, 899.9 in the archive's 0–1000 disk space (core at 500, 500).

wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Morod (read directly in a browser on 2026-10-01): 'Morod was an Imperial Forge World, that was been infested by a Genestealer Cult named The Congregation of the Divine Union', citing the novel's Chapter Two and the Warhammer Community reveal of 13 Oct 2021. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2021/10/13/a-genestealer-cult-invading-a-forge-world-sounds-like-the-perfect-plot-for-a-legendary-sci-fi-writer/ (read directly in a browser on 2026-10-01): 'On the forge world of Morod, the machines never stop and the work never ends'. https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Day_of_Ascension_(Novel) (read 2026-10-01): Black Library's description, archived. NAME-COLLISION CHECK: Lexicanum Planets_(List) carries one Morod ('Forge World', citing Day of Ascension, 2) and no other; no other index record uses the name (Morlond, Mornax and Morrigar are different worlds).
classmedium
www.warhammer-community.com/2021/10/13/a-genestealer-cult-invading-a-forge-world-sounds-like-the-perfect-plot-for-a-legendary-sci-fi-writer/ 'forge' from what the sources say it IS and LOOKS like in the book: mines and factoria that never stop, a forge world of the Adeptus Mechanicus (; https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Morod infobox 'former Forge World'). The infobox's later class, 'now Dead World', cites Chapter Sixteen and is the world's fate at the very end of the book; under the agreed grain an era gets the state most of its books are set in, so the render is the forge world and the fate stays in the spoiler.
segmentumhigh
wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Morod null: Lexicanum's Morod infobox leaves Segmentum, Sector, Subsector and System blank and files it under 'Segmentum Unknown' (, read 2026-10-01). The novel page, Gammat_Triskellian, Magus_Davien, Congregation_of_the_Divine_Union and the Warhammer Community reveal give no location. The Congregation spreading 'into the Segmentum' (https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Congregation_of_the_Divine_Union) names no segmentum.

www.warhammer-community.com/2021/10/13/a-genestealer-cult-invading-a-forge-world-sounds-like-the-perfect-plot-for-a-legendary-sci-fi-writer/ Only 'indomitus' is carried: the shelf files the novel M42 — Post-Great Rift, its January 2022 release in Warhammer 40,000's 9th Edition, and no permitted source dates the book. Allegiance 'imperium' because the world is ruled by the Adeptus Mechanicus at the book's opening while the cult is hidden (; https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Morod). The Genestealer rebellion, the Hive Fleet and the world's end (https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Morod ch. 16; https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Gammat_Triskellian ch. 15) are spoilers and are kept off this record.

editorial: 'morod', the world's own name, because no permitted source names a system or a star. systems/morod.json is a one-body TRUNCATED survey.
