The 41st Millenniumpre-Rift
imperium
Agri world ravaged by a Chaos plague, then a cemetery world under the Ecclesiarchy
An agri world until a plague of Chaos ravaged it in M41. Since then it has seen at least three Inquisitorial purges and is governed by the Ecclesiarchy as a cemetery world: persistent rain, an oppressive atmosphere, mud, and catacombs filled with ossuaries beneath Saint Josefina's Grand Mausoleum.
Era Indomituspost-Rift
contested
Cemetery world where a Chaos cult rises in the catacombs
A cemetery world of tens of thousands with no strategic value, notable resources or industry, home to Saint Josefina's Grand Mausoleum. Two centuries after the Siege of Vraks an Ordo Hereticus inquisitor uncovers a Chaos cult there, and Vostroyan Firstborn, Attilan Rough Riders and the kill teams of the Death Korps of Krieg's 401st, 'the Relentless Dead', are sent into its bone caverns. What happens there is in The Relentless Dead's spoiler.
Position
Map frame: 923.1, 650.4 in the archive's 0–1000 disk space (core at 500, 500).
Distance from the core: 449 units ≈ 47.8k light years, south-east of the galactic core.
Height above the disk plane: -3.8 units — invented thin-disk jitter, deterministic per record. No published source gives any location a z coordinate.

wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Oleris_III (read directly in a browser on 2026-10-02): 'an Imperial Cemetery World with persistent rain, an oppressive atmosphere, muddy terrain, and subterranean catacombs filled with ossuaries'; population tens of thousands; affiliation Imperium; home to Saint Josefina's Grand Mausoleum; all cited to The Relentless Dead (Novel), ch. II. Warhammer Community names the world for the book: 'Oleris III is a dead planet full of tombs and catacombs' (Saturday Pre-orders jo6cw5ww, 25 Oct 2025; Sunday Preview cfauyhwi, 19 Jul 2026). Also listed on https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Cemetery_World and Planets_(List). NAME-COLLISION CHECK: no index record uses the name, and Lexicanum has no other Oleris.
segmentumhigh
null: Lexicanum's infobox leaves segmentum, sector, subsector and system blank (category 'Segmentum Unknown'), Cemetery_World lists it as 'Unknown' in every column, and no Warhammer Community post gives any geography.
gposlow
inferred: the world is NAMED but canon never locates it, so the record claims no segmentum and sits on the unsurveyed rim at the generator's rim_xy('oleris-iii') = [923.1, 650.4] (the function ported from build_locations.py, which reproduces gavaine [91.0, 653.3] and rilis [738.9, 117.3]; the script itself was not run). The position carries no information and must not be read as one. Z -3.8 is the zPolicy value (compute-z.mjs oleris-iii 923.1 650.4).
classmedium
'shrine' from what the sources say it LOOKS like, as for this dataset's other cemetery worlds Orison VIII and Katerah: a world 'full of tombs and catacombs' (Warhammer Community jo6cw5ww) with ossuary-filled catacombs and a saint's Grand Mausoleum, governed by the Ecclesiarchy (Lexicanum Oleris_III, ch. II). The shrine palette is pale bone plains with gilded peaks, a world of tombs. 'dead' was weighed and refused although Warhammer Community calls it 'a dead planet': that phrase is about the dead it holds, and the dead palette draws an airless cinder, while Lexicanum gives the world persistent rain, an atmosphere, mud and a living population of tens of thousands. 'agri' was its M41 state before the plague, not how it looks in any book.
erasmedium
m41: Lexicanum Oleris_III (ch. II) says it was an agri world in M41 until ravaged by a plague of Chaos, since purged at least three times and governed by the Ecclesiarchy. indomitus: 'In M42, 200 years after the Siege of Vraks' (Lexicanum Oleris_III, citing the novel and Imperial Armour Volume Five; Lexicanum Tyborc, citing ch. XIV: 'Even two-hundred years after his service'); Lexicanum Attilan_Rough_Riders lists 'M42 - Oleris III'. 'contested' because a Chaos cult holds the catacombs against the Imperial Guard through the book; the outcome is in the book's spoiler, not here.
systemIdlow
editorial: 'oleris', from the world's numbered name (Oleris III implies a star Oleris with at least three worlds); no source names the system, the star or the other worlds. The survey systems/oleris.json draws only Oleris III and is TRUNCATED.
