Imperial necropolis world, overrun from within by a cult of the Plague God
A necropolis world where billions of the Imperium's heroes are laid to rest, and the rightful resting place of the legendary Sword of Saarim. When the Reliquant at Arms Aestred Thurga brings the blade home, a cult of the Plague God ambushes her and steals it, and the forces of Chaos overwhelm the planet from within until its dead begin to rise from their graves.

wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Aestred_Thurga:_Pyre_of_Faith_(Novel ) (read directly in a browser on 2026-10-01): Black Library's description, 'returning the legendary Sword of Saarim to its rightful place upon the necropolis world of Katerah' and 'the billions of heroes laid to rest on Katerah'. The same words are in the publisher's Sunday Preview of 1 Feb 2026, https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/qsxg0ftc/sunday-preview-a-magical-melee-rocks-the-mortal-realms/ (read directly 2026-10-01). https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Plague_zombie (read 2026-10-01, citing the novel): 'The necropolis planet Katerah where Aestred Thurga of the Adepta Sororitas fought'. NAME-COLLISION CHECK: https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Katerah has no article ('There is currently no text in this page', read 2026-10-01), and no other index record uses the name.

wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Aestred_Thurga:_Pyre_of_Faith_(Novel 'shrine' from what the sources say it LOOKS like: a 'necropolis world' where 'billions of heroes [are] laid to rest' (); https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/qsxg0ftc/sunday-preview-a-magical-melee-rocks-the-mortal-realms/), i.e. a world of tombs. This dataset's shrine palette is pale bone plains with gilded peaks, the palette already used for Orison VIII, the Cadian Gate cemetery world of Daemonbreaker. 'dead' was weighed and refused: it draws an airless cinder, and nothing says Katerah is airless or barren; it is a world people are buried on and defend. There is no Lexicanum infobox to compare.

wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Aestred_Thurga:_Pyre_of_Faith_(Novel null: no permitted source gives Katerah a segmentum, sector, subsector, system or neighbour. inferred: no published segmentum, sector, subsector or system, and no article places the world against a neighbour or a theatre. No segmentum is claimed; unsurveyed rim, no positional information. [656.6, 918.0] is build_locations.py rim_xy('katerah'); Z from compute-z.mjs under zPolicy.
erasmedium
wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Aestred_Thurga Only 'indomitus' is carried: the shelf files the novel M42 — Post-Great Rift, the era of Aestred Thurga's 2021 miniature range (), and no permitted source dates the book. Cult of the Plague God, the stolen Sword of Saarim, the planet overwhelmed from within and the dead rising are the publisher's description (https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Aestred_Thurga:_Pyre_of_Faith_(Novel); https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/qsxg0ftc/sunday-preview-a-magical-melee-rocks-the-mortal-realms/; https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/avczirqt/sunday-preview-into-the-eye-of-terror/). Allegiance 'contested' because the description has Chaos overwhelming an Imperial world that the Sisters are fighting for. What comes of the world is not published and is kept off this record.
systemIdlow
editorial: 'katerah', the world's own name, because no permitted source names a system or a star. systems/katerah.json is a one-body TRUNCATED survey.
