Tyranid-struck ocean world; Fabius Bile's hidden laboratory-fortress
A world struck by the Tyranids whose oceans survived the attack, leaving leaderless, sea-adapted Tyranid organisms roaming its waters, with ocean-going freighters still working it. Fabius Bile hides a laboratory-fortress here where he holds captive Space Marines of many Chapters and experiments on their gene-seed. In late M41 a combined Blood Angels and Flesh Tearers strike force under Sergeants Rafen and Noxx goes down by submarine to find him and the stolen blood of Sanguinius (Black Tide).

Position
Map frame: 701.5, 113.3 in the archive's 0–1000 disk space (core at 500, 500).
Distance from the core: 436 units ≈ 46.4k light years, north-east of the galactic core.
Height above the disk plane: -9.7 units — invented thin-disk jitter, deterministic per record. No published source gives any location a z coordinate.

wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Black_Tide_(Novel ) (read directly in a browser on 2026-10-02), the cover description: the Blood Angels track Fabius Bile 'down to his secret base on Dynikas V, a world beset by alien tyranids'. https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Rafen (Black Tide ch. 5): 'The planet itself was unusual in that it had suffered a strike by the Tyranids, but the events had left the oceans intact as well as several aquatically mutated Tyranid specimens leaderless on the planet'; Bile's 'laboratory-fortress' (ch. 9). https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Suhr_Tarikus and Doom_Eagles: Tarikus held prisoner on Dynikas V for years. https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Stone_Hearts: Kelleth kept prisoner and slain there (ch. 10). NAME-COLLISION CHECK: Lexicanum's Dynikas_V and Dynikas pages do not exist; a full-text search for 'Dynikas' returns 10 pages, all about this one world and Black Tide (Doom Eagles, Stone Hearts, Rafen, Black Tide (Novel), The Returned, Noxx, Suhr Tarikus, Archeohort, Lapidas-Pattern Freighter, Neimos); no index record uses the id or label.
book-joinhigh
PRIMARY for Black Tide (blood-angels::ba-rafen::4): the cover description names it as Bile's secret base, and Lexicanum Rafen (chs. 5, 9, 13), Noxx and Suhr_Tarikus set the submarine descent, the underwater battle, Rafen's capture, the arena and the storming of the fortress there. The short story The Returned (Lexicanum The_Returned_(Short_Story)) recalls Tarikus's imprisonment there; it is not shelved.
segmentumhigh
No source read places it: Lexicanum has no Dynikas V page, and none of the ten pages that name it gives a segmentum, sector, neighbour or bearing (Tarikus's capture 'in the Segmentum Tempestus' on Lexicanum Doom_Eagles is where the Red Corsairs took him, not where Bile held him). No segmentum is claimed.
classmedium
OCEAN, medium. Painted from what the pages say it looks like: the Tyranid strike 'left the oceans intact' with 'aquatically mutated Tyranid specimens' in them (Lexicanum Rafen, ch. 5); the strike force needs a combat submarine, the Neimos, to approach Bile's base, and fights 'large Tyranid creatures similar in size to mighty krakens' underwater (Rafen; Neimos, chs. 5-8); Lexicanum Lapidas-Pattern_Freighter lists the ocean-going cargo vessel Kappa-Rho-Six as active on Dynikas V. 'dead' was refused although the world was Tyranid-struck: the pages stress that its oceans survived, and nothing describes a stripped crust.
gposlow
inferred: no page read names a segmentum, sector, subsector, neighbour, bearing or theatre for Dynikas V, so there is nothing to place it against. The record claims no segmentum and sits on the unsurveyed rim at the generator's rim_xy('dynikas-v') = (701.5, 113.3), reproduced from build_locations.py's own fnv1a/CORE (checked against San Guisaga's stored point (678.8, 88.1); the generator was not run). The position carries no information and must not be read as one. Z -9.7 is the zPolicy value (compute-z.mjs dynikas-v 701.5 113.3).
erasmedium
m41 only: Black Tide follows Red Fury by months (Lexicanum Black_Tide_(Novel), Part One), late M41 before the Great Rift. Allegiance 'contested': a Tyranid-struck world whose surviving organisms roam its oceans, held by Fabius Bile's fortress; no Imperial presence is described beyond the freighter Kappa-Rho-Six. No source read says anything of Dynikas V in hh, aoi or indomitus.
systemIdmedium
dynikas, editorial: the numeral in 'Dynikas V' is the Imperial convention for the fifth world of a system named Dynikas, but no page names the system, its star or any other body (Lexicanum has no Dynikas page). The id is 'dynikas' because no index record or system file uses it.
