A heavily industrialised forge world the Mechanicus stripped of its ores and abandoned, its seas turned corrosive by ages of pollution, that is not as abandoned as it looks: a den of renegades and Imperial secessionists, and on one of its moons a haven for the heretics of the psyker Scafidis Zale, whom Inquisitor Istrix summons Sister Superior Augusta Santorus's squad of the Order of the Bloody Rose to hunt in the novella Wreck and Ruin. In The Rose in Anger the Sisters return in force, with the Order's battle muster, against a heretek Mechanicus army, and something more malign may already inhabit the planet.
