wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Knights_of_the_Imperium_(Novella Knights of the Imperium (Novella), Graham McNeill, Black Library 2014: the Black Library cover description (archived 4 April 2017) quoted on ) (read directly in a browser on 2026-10-03): 'The swarms of Hive Fleet Hydra descend upon the world of Vondrak, and the Knights of Cadmus answer the call to war.' Warhammer Community, Faction Focus: Imperial Knights (18 May 2023, https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/mlNI1qtc/warhammer-40000-faction-focus-imperial-knights/): 'Hive Fleet Hydra invades Vondrak on House Cadmus' watch'. NAME-COLLISION CHECK: no other index record uses the name; https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Vondrak and Battle_of_Vondrak have no article text, so there is no second Vondrak to confuse it with.

wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/House_Cadmus 'forge': Lexicanum ('the defence of the Forge World Vondrak', citing the novella's chapter Roland) and https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/House_Hawkshroud ('the Forge World Vondrak', chapter Vondrak), read directly in a browser on 2026-10-03. No permitted source describes its terrain or colour, so the palette is chosen for what a forge world is drawn as on this map (grey-brown industrial sprawl), which is what the novel's forge temple of Vikara and the fortified Verdus Ferrox imply. Editorial; replace the day a source describes the surface.
segmentumhigh
wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Hydra_(Hive_Fleet null: no permitted source names a segmentum, sector, subsector or system for Vondrak. Lexicanum has no Vondrak article, and Hive Fleet Hydra (), read directly in a browser on 2026-10-03) is placed only as 'the very extremes of the eastern spiral' or 'the galactic south', depending on the source, which locates nothing.
gposlow
inferred: the unsurveyed rim, rim_xy("vondrak") from warhammer-3d-map/app/tools/build_locations.py = [863.1, 238.4]. The position carries NO information: the book names the world and canon never locates it. Z 11.5 from compute-z.mjs under zPolicy. Upgrade candidate.
erashigh
wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Daegan m41 only: the novella is set in 999.M41 (Lexicanum House_Cadmus, Notable Actions '999.M41: Defense of Vondrak', following the 998.M41 fall of Gryphonne IV). Forces present: House Cadmus and Archmagos Kyrano's call (House_Cadmus, chapter Roland); House Hawkshroud under Viscount Aktis Bardolf (House_Hawkshroud, chapters Vondrak and Saints); the Freeblade Sir Tellurus (House_Cadmus, chapters Saints and Apotheosis); Captain Daegan's Sable Swords company (, chapter Warmakers); Colonel Harun Rukanah's Mubarizan Sipahi (https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Harun_Rukanah, chapter Vondrak); the progena of Scholam Vikara (https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Schola_Progenium, chapters Tellurus and Gauntlet); the forge temple of Vikara and Verdus Ferrox (House_Cadmus, chapters Roland and Blooding). All read directly in a browser on 2026-10-03. The battle's outcome is kept out of the status and summary (it is in the book's SPOILERS entry). No other era is carried: nothing places Vondrak in any other period.
no-system-surveyhigh
No systems/vondrak.json is authored although Vondrak is this book's PRIMARY setting, by the Step 5b rule for a setting canon enumerates nothing about: no permitted source names its star, a sibling body, a moon or a body count, so a one-star-one-planet file would invent the only thing it shows. Vikara (a forge temple and Scholam) and Verdus Ferrox are sites on the world, not bodies. The map synthesises the system from this record. Upgrade candidate the day a source describes the system.
