War world dying after its campaign’s flagship fell on it
A war world where the Imperium has the T'au Empire on the run at the end of a long campaign, until the campaign's flagship, the battleship Caedes Omnis, crashes into the planet and detonates its magazines. The ecology collapses, smoke and poison leech into the atmosphere and the radiation climbs by the day; the order to withdraw is given, but the Death Korps of Krieg's 472nd Siege Regiment readies a final assault on the T'au lines while Commissar Valian Hesh rides south from the northern continent to stop it. What becomes of the world and the regiment is in Death Rider's spoiler.
Position
Map frame: 846.3, 207.9 in the archive's 0–1000 disk space (core at 500, 500).
Distance from the core: 453 units ≈ 48.2k light years, north-east of the galactic core.
Height above the disk plane: -3.8 units — invented thin-disk jitter, deterministic per record. No published source gives any location a z coordinate.

wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Rezlan_VI (read directly in a browser on 2026-10-02): 'a doomed and dying world, that was the site of a battle between the Imperium and T'au Empire', class War World, the 472nd and Commissar Valian Hesh, cited to the Warhammer Community reveal. Warhammer Community: the reveal (https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/lomqtzfk/word-bearers-and-kriegsmen-headline-black-library-books-from-both-sides-of-the-wire/, 17 Dec 2025: 'stranded on the dying world of Rezlan VI'), the Sunday Preview (https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/lke65sad/sunday-preview-huron-blackheart-sets-sail-from-the-maelstrom/, 8 Feb 2026) and the Saturday Pre-orders (https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/qin4w3uu/saturday-pre-orders-descend-into-the-nightmare-realm-of-the-maelstrom/, 14 Feb 2026: 'The world they're on is doomed to an agonising death at the hands of an Imperial battleship'), and the author interview (https://www.warhammer-community.com/en-gb/articles/hewvydtm/can-a-commissar-really-restrain-the-death-korps-ask-the-author-of-death-rider/, 22 Jan 2026: 'the end of the war on Rezlan VI', the flagship Caedes Omnis crashing into it, 'the planet's northern continent', the ride south to the evacuation point). NAME-COLLISION CHECK: no index record uses the name; Lexicanum has no other Rezlan (the bare 'Rezlan' page does not exist).
segmentumhigh
null: Lexicanum's infobox leaves segmentum, sector, subsector and system blank (category 'Segmentum Unknown'), and none of the four Warhammer Community posts gives any geography.
gposlow
inferred: the world is NAMED but canon never locates it, so the record claims no segmentum and sits on the unsurveyed rim at the generator's rim_xy('rezlan-vi') = [846.3, 207.9] (the function in build_locations.py evaluated on its own, which reproduces oleris-iii [923.1, 650.4], gavaine [91.0, 653.3] and rilis [738.9, 117.3]; the script itself was not run). The position carries no information and must not be read as one. Z -3.8 is the zPolicy value (compute-z.mjs rezlan-vi 846.3 207.9).
classmedium
'forge' from what the sources say it LOOKS like in the one book set there, not from Lexicanum's 'War World' tag (a use, not a look): a world whose ecology has collapsed after a voidship crashed into it and detonated its magazines, smoke and poison leeching into the atmosphere, radiation rising (Warhammer Community interview and Saturday Pre-orders), and fire across the ground on GW's own cover art. The forge palette is a soot crust cracked by glowing fire-veins under an orange haze, the same choice this dataset makes for the volcanic worlds Nocturne and Medusa; it is a rendering of fire and smoke, not a claim of Mechanicus industry. 'dead' was refused: it draws an airless cinder, and Rezlan VI still has an atmosphere, armies and a war on it. 'death' was refused: it is a jungle palette. Nothing describes the world before the crash, so no other era is recorded.
erasmedium
indomitus only: Death Rider is set after the Great Rift (Lexicanum Attila, citing Death Rider ch. 8, for Attila's near-attack by the Blood Crusade of Khorne and the Sautekh Necron offensive in the Dark Imperium). Allegiance 'contested': an Imperial campaign against the T'au Empire still being fought on the world through the book. The outcome is in the book's spoiler, not here.
systemIdlow
editorial: 'rezlan', from the world's numbered name (Rezlan VI implies a star Rezlan with at least six worlds); no source names the system, the star or the other worlds. The survey systems/rezlan.json draws only Rezlan VI and is TRUNCATED.
