Goal of the Providence Crusade; home of the Arkans
The world the Providence Crusade was sent to, with Adepta Sororitas, Imperial Navy and Angels Resplendent among its forces. Its people, the Arkans, fight the crusade, and its commanders cannot agree how hard to strike them. It turns up in Requiem Infernal as part of Asenath Hyades's past.

Position
Map frame: 924.8, 644.6 in the archive's 0–1000 disk space (core at 500, 500).
Distance from the core: 449 units ≈ 47.7k light years, south-east of the galactic core.
Height above the disk plane: -3.9 units — invented thin-disk jitter, deterministic per record. No published source gives any location a z coordinate.

identitymedium
wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Varzival_Czervantes (read directly in a browser on 2026-10-01), citing Requiem Infernal chs. 2, 4 and 5: 'In a detour on the way to Providence, the crusade stopped at Vytarn'; 'After arriving in system a meeting was held among the crusade's leaders'; the Angels Resplendent were 'ordered to do a shock and awe attack against the Arkans'. https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Arkan_Confederates (read directly in a browser on 2026-10-01, citing Fire Caste): the Arkan Confederates are 'the Imperial Guard Regiments hailing from the world of Providence'. The novel's Dramatis Personae heads the crusade's leaders 'The Providence Crusade' (https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Requiem_Infernal_(Novel)). NAME-COLLISION CHECK: Lexicanum's 'Providence' article is Eldar Warlock wargear (Dawn of War II), not this world. No other index record uses the name.
book-joinmedium
Joined to Requiem Infernal as `visited`. The crusade chapters (2, 4, 5 on the Czervantes page) are Asenath's past, not the book's centre, which is Vytarn. The page does not say outright that the council and the strike against the Arkans happen on Providence itself; that is read from 'after arriving in system' following 'on the way to Providence'. Hence medium.
classlow
wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Arkan_Confederates (read directly in a browser on 2026-10-01, citing Fire Caste ch. 1): Arkan Sentinels have hooves 'suited for Providence's savannahs'. Savannah is the only terrain word published. No palette is open grassland. `temperate` (the blue-green living baseline) is the least-asserting choice. It is not `agri`, which draws field boundaries and implies farming, and not `desert`, which has no sea and reads as dunes.
segmentumhigh
No permitted source gives Providence a segmentum, sector or neighbour. Its Arkan regiments fight on Phaedra in the Damocles Gulf (Fire Caste), but a regiment's posting says nothing about where its homeworld is. So `segmentum` is null.
gposlow
inferred: no published geography of any kind. The position comes from the generator's rim_xy('providence') on the unsurveyed rim (r = 430..455, outside every stylised segmentum polygon), so no membership is implied. It lands near Vytarn only because of the id hash. The novel's 'detour on the way to Providence' gives no distance, and the coordinate carries no information. Z from compute-z.mjs under zPolicy.
allegiancemedium
aoi `contested`: in this book the world is the objective of an Imperial crusade and its Arkans resist it (Lexicanum Varzival_Czervantes, chs. 4-5). It is not asserted whether the crusade succeeds. Fire Caste's Arkan Confederates, Imperial Guard regiments in M41, belong to that book's intake as an `m41` era.
no-system-surveyhigh
No `systems/providence.json`. Canon names no star and no other body. Fire Caste's intake may revisit this.
