Poisoned former Maiden World under Mechanicus quarantine
The innermost world of the Ikaneos system, under a dull red star: once an Aeldari Maiden World, then colonised by the Imperium in M36 until its biosphere was poisoned into an acrid, irradiated wasteland with toxic water. No expedition sent into the system has ever returned, and Mars has declared it Interdictus Absolutus since M37. Its surface is littered with the wrecks of Imperial and Mechanicus ships fallen from orbit.
Position
Map frame: 657.4, 85.2 in the archive's 0–1000 disk space (core at 500, 500).
Distance from the core: 444 units ≈ 47.2k light years, north-east of the galactic core.
Height above the disk plane: 4.4 units — invented thin-disk jitter, deterministic per record. No published source gives any location a z coordinate.
System: Ikaneos System

wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Ikaneos-Alpha (read directly in a browser on 2026-10-01): 'also referred to as Ikaneos-A, is a former Aeldari Maiden World of the Ikaneos stellar system', citing Dominion Genesis (Novel), Ikaneos ch. 3 and The Fane chs 1-2. https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Ikaneos (read 2026-10-01): the system's innermost planet, 'designated as Ikaneos-Alpha' (Ikaneos ch. 3). https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Maiden_World lists 'Ikaneos-Alpha (former)' (The Fane ch. 2). NAME-COLLISION CHECK: no other index record uses the name; Lexicanum's Ikaneos-A redirects to the same article.
classmedium
'desert' from what the pages say it LOOKS like: 'a poisoned, acrid, and irradiated world', 'a poisoned & barren wasteland' whose water causes chemical burns (Lexicanum Ikaneos-Alpha, The Fane ch. 2 and The Obdurate ch. 3; Maiden_World), and Lexicanum Maiden_World, citing the same chapter, on worlds 'turned into little more than irradiated desert death worlds under the stewardship of humanity'. The infobox's 'now Death World' was NOT copied: this dataset's `death` palette is a green jungle, and this world is the opposite. 'dead' (airless and cratered) was refused: it has air, water and fauna (feral grox, The Wastes ch. 2).
segmentumhigh
wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Ikaneos null: Lexicanum's Ikaneos-Alpha infobox leaves Segmentum, Sector and Subsector blank and files it under 'Segmentum Unknown'; is also 'Segmentum Unknown' and calls the system 'a blank space within a map' (Tolkhan ch. 5). Read 2026-10-01.
gposlow
inferred: no published segmentum, sector, subsector or neighbour; the system is a cartographic blank by the novel's own account. No segmentum is claimed; unsurveyed rim, no positional information. [657.4, 85.2] is build_locations.py rim_xy('ikaneos-alpha') (reproduced, the generator was not run); Z 4.4 from compute-z.mjs under zPolicy.
erasmedium
Only 'indomitus' is carried: the novel's expedition is 'In the Era Indomitus' (Lexicanum Ikaneos-Alpha) and about six Terran years after the fall of Gryphonne IV (Lexicanum Talin_Sherax). The M36 colonisation, the M37 quarantine by Fabricator General Tynovaren of Mars and the crashed ships, among them the Imperial Fists frigate Obdurate, are from Lexicanum Ikaneos-Alpha and Ikaneos (Tolkhan ch. 5, The Obdurate ch. 1). Allegiance 'none': bereft of human and Aeldari life. Who the expedition meets there is a spoiler and is kept off the record.
systemIdhigh
'ikaneos': the Ikaneos stellar system (Lexicanum Ikaneos). systems/ikaneos.json is a CLOSED four-planet survey, because Lexicanum enumerates the system.
