Record by era

This archive tracks four layers. A record present in 4 of them (HH, AoI, M41, IND) is silent in the rest, and says so.

The Horus HeresyM30–M31
imperium
Homeworld of Leman Russ and the VI Legion

A world of fire and ice whose year swings it from boiling seas to a frozen shell. The Wolves muster here before Prospero, and Fenrisian kaerls raise Solar Auxilia regiments for the Crusade.

Age of the ImperiumM32–M40
imperium
Space Wolves homeworld

Chapter homeworld and recruiting ground, defended by the Fang and by one of the strongest battlefleets outside Sol.

The 41st Millenniumpre-Rift
imperium
Space Wolves homeworld

Feral, lethal and deliberately kept that way; the tribes that survive it are the Chapter's only intake. Assailed directly only a handful of times in ten thousand years.

Era Indomituspost-Rift
imperiumImperium Sanctus
Space Wolves homeworld

Held, and inside the light — but the Wolves now spend most of their strength on the far side of the Rift.

Contested record

Segmentum: genuinely contested, and this record takes the minority side. Lexicanum's infobox says Segmentum Solar and flags its own conflicting sources; Codex: Space Marines 4th and 8th editions say Segmentum Obscurus, Lexicanum's Segmentum Obscurus article lists Fenris among its worlds, and the world's position on GW's official Era Indomitus map falls Obscurus-side of the border once the Segmentum Solar is drawn at its true compact size. This dataset follows the codices plus the map. The real dispute is Solar vs Obscurus — not Ultima — and Fenris is placed on the seam between them rather than committed to the interior of either.

Position

Map frame: 338, 398 in the archive's 0–1000 disk space (core at 500, 500).
Distance from the core: 191 units ≈ 20.4k light years, north-west of the galactic core.
Height above the disk plane: -7.4 units — invented thin-disk jitter, deterministic per record. No published source gives any location a z coordinate.
System: Fenris System
