contested
Imperial industrial world in rebellion against the tithe, 398.M41
Also called Gerat III and Gerat Prime, the industrial capital of the Gerat System in the Agritha Subsector of the Chiros Sector: a temperate world of forest, tundra, steppe and ocean at about one Terran gravity, its Governor's Palace at Magor's Seat and its capital Matua Superior. In Shadowsword its Planetary Governor, Missrine Huratal I, rises against the Imperium over the tithes levied by the Departmento Munitorum and Departmento Exacta to feed the Macharian Crusade, and a battlegroup of Black Templars and Cadian, Paragonian, Atraxian, Savlar and Bosovar regiments, the super-heavies of the 7th Paragonian among them, is sent to take it back. What the war becomes is in the book's spoiler.

wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Geratomro (read directly in a browser on 2026-10-02), every line cited to Shadowsword (Novel): 'Geratomro is an Industrial World of the Imperium. Also known as Gerat III and Gerat Prime, it is the designated system capital of the Gerat System' (Interstitial after Chapter Two, pgs. 35-36); the rebellion of Missrine Huratal I over the Macharian Crusade tithes (Chapter One). Corroborated by https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Gerat_System, Chiros_Sector, Colaron_Vor_Artem_Lo_Bannick (Geratomro section, chs 4-25), and by Black Library's description on Lexicanum Shadowsword_(Novel) and in Warhammer Community's Sunday Preview of 26 Oct 2025 ('a deadly battle for the fate of three star systems'). NAME-COLLISION CHECK: no other index record or Lexicanum page uses 'Geratomro' or 'Gerat'.
classhigh
wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Geratomro 'Other Planetary Data' (pgs. 35-36): 'Geography: Grade III temperate world; Subclasses: Arboreal, tundra, steppe, oceanic'; 1 G; equatorial temperature 7 to 31 C. Painted `temperate` from those terrain words. The infobox's 'Industrial World' tag was refused as a render class: `forge` paints armoured industrial grey, and the page's own geography is forest, steppe and ocean, not a manufactorum surface.
segmentumhigh
wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Geratomro infobox: Segmentum 'Segmentum Tempestus', Sector 'Chiros Sector', Subsector 'Agritha Subsector', System 'Gerat System' (pgs. 35-36); https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Chiros_Sector 'a Sector of the Imperium located in Segmentum Tempestus', listing Gerat System and Geratomro under the Agritha Subsector.
gposlow
inferred: sector-level, keyed to Kalidar IV. Canon puts Geratomro in the Agritha Subsector of the Chiros Sector, the same sector as Kalidar IV's Kalidar Subsector, and publishes no sector position, bearing or distance between the two (Lexicanum Geratomro, Gerat_System, Chiros_Sector). Kalidar IV itself is placed only at segmentum level ([332, 806], gpos low). Geratomro is put 5.7 units from it toward the north-east, at [336, 802]: close enough to read as one sector, far enough that the two markers do not overlap; the bearing and distance are editorial and claim nothing beyond 'the same sector as Kalidar IV'. UPGRADE CANDIDATE with Kalidar IV: a published Chiros Sector position would move both. Z -2.5 is the zPolicy value (compute-z.mjs geratomro 336 802).
erashigh
m41 only: Lexicanum Black_Templars, Emperor's_Children and List_of_Battles_of_the_Black_Templars date 'The Battle for Geratomro' to 398.M41 (citing Shadowsword chs 16 and 21); 7th_Paragonian_Super-heavy_Tank_Company lists '398.M41: Geratomro' (ch. 3), the year after the 397.M41 Kalidar War. Nothing is published about the world in another era. Allegiance 'contested': an Imperial world in open rebellion with an Imperial battlegroup fighting on it for the whole book; how the war turns and ends is kept out of the summary because it is the book's plot (chs 14-25).

systems/gerat.json: authored because Geratomro is Shadowsword's PRIMARY setting and canon enumerates the system (Lexicanum Gerat_System 'Celestial Objects', from the novel's own system dossier, Interstitial after Chapter 2, pgs. 35-36), with Geratomro on the synthesiser's seed (hashId('geratomro') % 97 = 78).
