ork
Ork world; seat of the Battle of Krongar, Psychic Awakening
A desert hive world in the Skarskell Subsector, overrun by Ghazghkull's Great Waaagh! soon after the Great Rift opened and rebuilt as Ork scrap-cities, mega-shaks, mek-cities and landing fields, with an orbit choked by Ork voidships and raiders. Here Wolf Lord Ragnar Blackmane hunts Ghazghkull down and the two fight their duel in a blocked-off Imperial cathedral, and here Grotsnik works on what is left of the Prophet: the Battle of Krongar, which ends Ghazghkull Thraka: Prophet of the Waaagh!'s tale.

wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Krongar (raw wikitext through a browser, 2026-10-05; the rendered page returned Cloudflare 520): 'an Ork World in the Skarskell Subsector of the Ultima Segmentum', 'formally an Imperial hive world that was invaded by the Ork Warlord Ghazghkull Thraka during the Psychic Awakening in the early Era Indomitus', the site of the duel with Ragnar Blackmane (Prophecy of the Wolf; Psychic Awakening: Saga of the Beast). https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Battle_of_Krongar (raw wikitext, 2026-10-05) cites the cathedral duel, Ragnar's Frost Blade and Ghazghkull's lament for Makari to Ghazghkull Thraka: Prophet of the Waaagh! Chapters 10-12. NAME-COLLISION CHECK: no index record uses the id or label; Lexicanum also spells the system 'Krognar System' and 'Krongar System' in the same article.
classmedium
'desert' from what the page says it LOOKS like: 'Krongar is a desert world with multiple scrap-cities (Ork colonised hive cities) and industrial sectors connected by mass-transit-ways' (Lexicanum Krongar, Overview, Prophecy of the Wolf pp. 2-3). The infobox's 'Ork World (formally Hive World)' is an ownership history, not a look; the scrap-cities are drawn by no palette, so the base terrain decides.
segmentumhigh
wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Krongar infobox: Segmentum 'Ultima Segmentum' (Prophecy of the Wolf pp. 2-3), Subsector 'Skarskell Subsector' (Saga of the Beast map pp. 6-7); filed under Category:Ultima Segmentum.
gposlow
inferred: only the segmentum and subsector are published, and one relational line: Ghazghkull's 'near death at the hands of the Space Wolves had been close to Armageddon' (Lexicanum Ghazghkull_Mag_Uruk_Thraka, A New Plan, citing Armageddon: The Return of Yarrick pp. 62-64). Placed just inside Ultima across the Solar/Ultima seam from Armageddon (regions.json seam at about x 409 for y 466; Armageddon [330,470]); Volcanis Ultor is the nearest marker at 31.2 units. Z -3.1 is the zPolicy value (compute-z.mjs krongar 428 466).
systemIdmedium
'krongar': Lexicanum Krongar infobox System 'Krognar System' and the History section's 'Krongar System' (Prophecy of the Wolf). no-system-survey: Krongar is a VISITED setting of this book, not its primary, and no permitted page names the star or any other body.
erashigh
indomitus only: invaded 'not long after the opening of the Great Rift', battle dated early M42 in the Psychic Awakening (Lexicanum Krongar, History; Battle_of_Krongar infobox). Allegiance 'ork'. m41 carries nothing: the page calls it formerly an Imperial hive world but gives no date or account, and no shelved book is set there before the Waaagh!.
