A verdant world in wilderness space, and the source of the Imperial Guard's premier airborne regiments. A main trade route through the sector passes through Elysia while the swirling gas clouds, hundreds of asteroid fields and barren moons around the system give pirates and marauding ork warbands perfect cover — which is why Elysian troopers are drilled as hard in ship-to-ship boarding actions and orbital-support fighting as they are in the grav-chute drop. Volunteers serve a full tour in the planetary defence force before the drop regiments will take them, and are trained at bases spread across the planet.

Civilised world; held, after a Chaos invasion was broken
Sometime after the Great Rift opened, a large force of Chaos Space Marines invaded Elysia, and the response came from Terra itself: Captain-General Trajann Valoris brought the Fury of Terra Shield Host of the Adeptus Custodes to stop the traitors becoming a threat to the Throneworld, and the invasion was broken. The desperation of that war is remembered on the planet as one of the rare occasions the Elysians dropped conscripts rather than volunteers. Its regiments fight on across the Imperium, and one of them stands with the Black Templars in Helbrecht: Sin of Hope — though nothing published puts a scene of that novel on Elysia itself.

Segmentum: Lexicanum's Elysia infobox says Ultima Segmentum, citing the Warhammer 40,000 9th Edition Rulebook galaxy map (pgs. 25-26). Lexicanum's own category for that same article files it under Segmentum Solar, and Lexicanum's Elysian Drop Troops article puts the world 'some thirty light years from Armageddon, towards the galactic hub' — an address inside Segmentum Solar, since Armageddon is a Solar world. This record follows the two readings that agree with each other and that yield an actual position, and says so rather than silently picking one.

The infobox tag was deliberately NOT read into the class: https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Elysia says 'Class: Civilised World', which is a governance category rather than a look, and there is no `civilised` palette to copy it into. `agri` was refused because nothing describes farmland — what the sources put on this surface is a planetary defence force and drop-training bases, not fields; `feral` and `death` were refused because both are jungle palettes and neither the world nor its people are described as primitive or the terrain as hostile; `ice` and `desert` contradict 'verdant' outright.

The position is that sentence executed in this frame: the unit vector from armageddon [330, 470] toward the core [500, 500] is (0.9848, 0.1738), and Elysia is set one unit along it at [330.98, 470.17]. THE MAGNITUDE IS A RENDERING MINIMUM, NOT THE CANON FIGURE, and that is the honest weakness of this record: thirty light years is 0.28 units at this frame's 106.4 ly per unit, which would put the two markers on top of each other and make one of the two systems unreachable, since the map dives from a marker into a single system. One unit (~106 ly) is the smallest separation that keeps both worlds selectable and is still closer than any other pair of distinct systems in the index (the tightest before this was neva/malodrax at 1.64). The BEARING is canon; the DISTANCE overstates canon by about 3.5x, deliberately and visibly. Z is the index's own zPolicy jitter via tools/compute-z.mjs (artistic, deterministic per id), not a hand-picked value.

In order to prevent the invaders from becoming a threat to Terra, the Adeptus Custodes Captain-General Trajann Valoris led the Fury of Terra Shield Host to battle against the traitors. The proceeding war saw the forces of Chaos defeated and Elysia saved' (Lexicanum cites Codex: Adeptus Custodes 8th Edition pg. 54 and White Dwarf February 2020 pg. 58); the conscript detail is the Drop Troops article, 'there have been instances where desperate circumstances have forced the Elysians to deploy conscripts, such as the Chaos Marine invasion of Elysia'. `riftSide: sanctus` follows from that invasion being fought off to keep it away from Terra.
