Frozen former agri world in revolt; Ork invasion
Once a prosperous agri world, until volcanic catastrophe in M39 brought a two-thousand-year winter of glaciers, frozen wastes and ruined cities while the Imperium sent almost no aid. As the thaw begins its people rise under Lord General Graush Vandrasse of the planetary defence force, and the Vostroyan Firstborn's Twelfth Army arrives from the Second Kholdas War to end the rebellion, unaware that a Venomhead Ork warhost has landed too. In Rebel Winter it is a three-way war in the snow, fought from trenchworks outside cities such as Korris, Grazzen and the Imperial headquarters at Seddisvarr.

Position
Map frame: 760, 720 in the archive's 0–1000 disk space (core at 500, 500).
Distance from the core: 341 units ≈ 36.2k light years, south-east of the galactic core.
Height above the disk plane: 0.9 units — invented thin-disk jitter, deterministic per record. No published source gives any location a z coordinate.

wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Danik%27s_World (read directly in a browser on 2026-10-01): 'Danik's World is an Imperium War World', Class 'War World, Ice World, former Agri World', every fact cited to Rebel Winter (Novel) (its map, Chapter 1 and 'A Trial Ends'). https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Danik%27s_World_Campaign (read 2026-10-01, citing chs 5-6 and 15): the M39 volcanic catastrophes and two-thousand-year winter, Vandrasse's Danikkin Independence Army, the Twelfth Army under General Vogor Vlastan headquartered at Seddisvarr. https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Rebel_Winter_(Novel) (Black Library's description, archived): 'the ice-encrusted battlefields of Danik's World, fighting against a fierce rebellion'. NAME-COLLISION CHECK: Lexicanum's full-text search for 'Danik' returns this one world (plus the campaign and the Pathcutter transport made there); no other index record uses the name.
classhigh
'ice' from what the sources say it LOOKS like: 'The majority of the planet is covered in glaciers and frozen wastes with a multitude of ruined cities' (Lexicanum Danik's_World), 'ice-encrusted battlefields' (Black Library), trenchworks on snowfields where frostbite is a capital offence (Lexicanum Danik's_World_Campaign). The infobox's 'War World' is a status, not a look, and 'former Agri World' is the world before M39; the beginning thaw is not yet visible, so the render is the ice world every page of the book describes.
segmentummedium
wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Danik%27s_World infobox 'Segmentum: Ultima', cited to Rebel Winter 'A Trial Ends', and filed under the category Ultima Segmentum; the aid was denied because of xenos campaigns 'throughout the Ultima Segmentum'. Sector, subsector and system are 'Unknown'.
gposlow
inferred: segmentum-level. Ultima Segmentum is published and so is the theatre, the Second Kholdas War (Lexicanum Danik's_World_Campaign, M41), but the index holds no Kholdas record to place against, so the marker sits in open Ultima space south of the Rift at [760, 720], 59.7 units from the nearest record (gravalax), clear of the others. The position means only 'somewhere in Ultima'. The stylised 'ultima' boundary polygon in regions.json contains the point, checked before it was written. Z 0.9 from compute-z.mjs under zPolicy.
erasmedium
Only 'm41' is carried. The shelf files the novel M41 — Pre-Great Rift, and every permitted date agrees on M41 while disagreeing on the year: Lexicanum M41 puts the Twelfth Army's diversion to Danik's World in 766.M41 and Death_Spectres says 'circa 767.M41', both citing the novel, while Danik's_World_Campaign's infobox says 998.M41. 'contested' because rebels, Orks and the Imperium all hold ground (Lexicanum: 'a War World being fought over by these three forces').
systemIdlow
editorial: 'daniks-world', the world's own name, because Lexicanum's System field is 'Unknown' and no permitted source names a star or a system. systems/daniks-world.json is a one-body TRUNCATED survey, authored because this is the novel's PRIMARY setting.
