Astra Lexica is an unofficial fan reference built out of a single Black Library read-through: every book tracked in the order the history happened, and every world those books name, charted and sourced.
Two halves of one thing. The library is a reading tracker: 357 books ordered by in-universe chronology rather than publication date, so the Heresy reads as a war and not as a release schedule. The galaxy map puts every world those books are set on into three-dimensional space, and every world links back to the books that put it there.
Nothing here is generated from publisher blurb. Every entry is written from a book that was actually read.
Every record on the map carries its own provenance: the source behind each fact, and a confidence marker where the source is thin. Placements that are editorial judgement say so in plain words rather than dressing themselves up as canon — a world that has never been given a published position appears as a ghost marker that admits it, instead of quietly being invented somewhere plausible.
If a fact here contradicts a book you have in front of you, the book wins. Use the feedback form and say which page — corrections are the most useful thing you can send.
The shelf holds 379 rows but reports 357 books, and both numbers are true. Twenty-two titles are cross-listed: an audio drama that belongs to the Heresy and to its own collection, say, appears on both shelves so it can be found from either. It is still one book, read once, counted once. Where a total is shown it counts books; the shelf-row figure is kept beside it, labelled, so neither number has to be taken on trust.
One person, over about two years of reading and a much shorter burst of building. It is a personal project and an unofficial one: not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Games Workshop or Black Library. A wrong date, a world in the wrong place, a book that should be on the shelf and isn’t, or something that simply broke — all of it is welcome. The form takes about thirty seconds and lands in the maintainer’s inbox.
